During Ten days trekking to a Bhairab Kunda (word from Sanskrit, which means Lake of Bhairab or lord Shiva) you will pass through untouched traditional villages in magnificent Himalayan landscapes. Bhairab Kunda is one of the sacred pilgrimage sites for spiritualists; which is named after the destructive feature of Holy Lord Shiva. People believes that immersing yourself in this Kunda will take away your sins, therefore many Hindu and Buddhist devotees visit and pay homage to this holy lake though it is situated at high altitude of 4200 meters.
It is located to the northeast of Kathmandu next to the Panch Pokhari and closer to Nepal-Tibetan border, which is newly started trekking route in such a real off touristy area. Starting your trekking from Jalbire you will travel through a mixture of beautiful mountain scenery, terraced fields, traditional houses featuring different ethnic groups and many more. You will get chance to experience the culture of different ethnic groups like Newar, Gurung, Sherpa.
