Bird Watching Around Kathmandu

Kathmandu is a valley surrounded wonderfully by green hills covered with dense forests on all sides. These forests and hills provide a safe haven for various species of birds. We start our tour from Kathmandu and heading towards Godavari,  hike up to Phulchoki where a good number of amazing birds and great views of the surrounding hills await to bird watchers.  At Phulchoki, you can see birds like the Crimson-Breasted Woodpecker and the Rusty-Cheeked Scimitar-Babbler among others. We then head off to the Shivapuri Watershed and Wildlife Reserve where another great quantity of birds can be seen.
