Chisapani Nagarkot trek is a short three days trek/hike in Nepal. This trek will take you to Nagarkot, one of the most famous destinations for locals and travelers near Kathmandu. The trail goes through the lush green forest where you will get to witness wild animals and birds. Furthermore, this trip will also let you experience rich Tamang and Newari culture and tradition. The journey begins with a drive to Sundarijal from Kathmandu. The drive is short yet present you beautiful views of outskirts of Kathmandu. Upon reaching Sundarijal, you will begin trekking through Shivapuri National Park and cross a big watershed that provides 40% of the water supply in Kathmandu Valley. You will reach your first destination, Chisapani where you will be going to stay for a night. On the second day, you will wake up early in the morning to enjoy a gorgeous sunrise. After that, you will have breakfast and begin trekking towards your next destination, Nagarkot. Trekking through beautiful villages on a fairly rugged trail, you will reach Nagarkot from where you will see heart-warming views of the Himalayas. On the third day, you will descend towards Changu Narayan Temple, one of the oldest temples of Nepal. Overall this trek will be going to present you all in one experience. This is a perfect trip for someone who has limited time on their hand but, still wants to get in touch with the nature, mountains, and culture of Nepal.
