Mera Peak is 6654 meters high and is considered one of the major and most popular trekking peaks in Nepal. It located in the Khumbu Himalayan Range. The trail winds amongst forests of pine and rhododendrons in this remote and uninhabited valley leading to the alpine Environment of Mera Base Camp. The Mera Peak itself rises to the south of Everest. The ascent of the peak is technically straightforward, however heavy snow and maze of crevasses can make our journey a longer way to summit.

Trip Itinerary
01Day
You will arrive at Kathmandu airport and picked up by one of our delegates. He/she will take you to your hotel. In the evening, you will meet with your guide and have a small briefing session. You will end your day with a traditional welcome dinner. Overnight in the hotel.
02Day
Today is the preparation day. We will go through the details of the trip and take all the required permits. Later, we will go to the guided sightseeing tour. We will visit sacred Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa, Swayambhunath, and the three Durbar Squares. All of these landmarks are the part of UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Overnight in the hotel.
03Day
We will take an early morning flight to Lukla. The flight will be scenic, and upon reaching Lukla, we will begin our trek towards Chutok. We will stay overnight in the lodge.
04Day
We will begin ascending and descending through a forested area and reach Col Khari La (3,081 m). From here, we descend to Bupsa (2,300 m) and again ascend towards a large white house at the top of Kharte. We will then reach Khari Khola Valley, and with more ups and downs through forest valley, we will reach Pangkongma.
05Day
We will trek along the mountain crest along with gorgeous landscapes. The trail will be easy, and after around 5 hours of walk, we will reach Kurke located at 3,800 meters.
06Day
We will ascend steeply on the ridge. Further, we will climb to a pass located at an elevation of 4,400 meters and descend to Thuli Kharka.
07Day
Going through rhododendron and juniper forest, we will trek towards Khothey. On the way, we will see stunning views of Mt. Mera and Hinku Valley along with the chance to witness wild animals like tiger, sloth bear, and many more. We will take a short break at Thakthor to have lunch and further, continue our trek towards Khothey. We will stay overnight in the teahouse.
08Day
Following the west bank of the riverbed, we will ascend up to the Tangnag Valley. On the way, we will witness close views of Kusum Kanguru and other mountains. Further, we will see an old Buddhist Gomba in the lap of a huge rock. We will stay overnight in a teahouse.
09Day
Today is our rest day at Tangnag to get acclimatized with the increasing altitude. We will explore the nearby area and rest. Furthermore, we will also prepare for our summit. Overnight in the teahouse.
10Day
As we will ascend the gorgeous views of the Hinku Nup glacier comes into our view. From Charpatti Tal, we will descend and cross a sandy stream. From here, the trail ascends towards Khare. We might use professional gear to ascend to Khare.
11Day
We will ascend towards Mera La Pass. The trail will be challenging yet adventurous. The enchanting sceneries and huge snow-capped mountains will make our way a little easier. From Mera La, we will ascend up to the Base Camp where we will going to stay for a night.
12Day
We will ascend towards the Mera Glacier and trek on the steepy section for around 2 to 3 hours to reach the High Camp. The trail will present a panoramic view of Mt. Everest (8,848 m), Mt. Baruntse, Mt. Makalu, and many more. If the weather will be nice, we will get to see Mt. Kanchenjunga far to the east.
13Day
Today will be another strenuous day of this trip. We will wake up early in the morning and ascend slowly towards the summit using the rope because of the several crevasses along the way. Upon reaching the summit, we will see breathtaking views of Mt. Makalu, Mt. Chamlang, Nau Lekh, Mt. Baruntse, and many other mountains. After spending some time on the summit, we will trek back to the High Camp. Further, we will descend down to Khare for a night stay.
14Day
After having breakfast, we will descend to Tagnag and continue trekking towards Kothe. Upon reaching Kothe, we will enjoy the rest of day with locals, have good food, and just relax. We will stay overnight in the camp.
15Day
We will trek on a new route to reach Thuli Kharka located on the top of a hillside. We will trek through the beautiful forest of rhododendron along with the best views of the Himalayas. Upon reaching Thuli Kharka, we will witness Mera North, Mera Central, and Mera South.
16Day
We will descend and reach Zatrwa La pass (4,600m). From here, we will descend towards the Dudh Kosi Valley and ascend to reach Lukla. The trail will includes fir, rhododendron, oak, and juniper forests. Upon reaching Lukla, we will have lunch and spend the rest of the day either exploring or resting. Overnight in a lodge.
17Day
After having breakfast, we will take an early morning flight to Kathmandu. The flight will present scenic views of snow-capped mountains and hills. Upon reaching Kathmandu, we will move to our hotel and rest for the day.
18Day
We will wake up early in the morning and have our breakfast. After that, we will leave for the airport to take our flight to back home.
