The trek starts after driving from Kathmandu to Dhading Besi via Mahendra highway. It passes through foothills and lowland farm terraces to ethnic Tamang villages on higher altitude. Along the trail, the trek offers splendid close views of Ganesh himal, Langtang, Bouddha Himal, Hiunchuli and other peaks of central Himalayas. The highest altitude on this trek is the Pangsang pass at 3850M. This pass is also one of the finest view points on the trek.
